Pub History

The Hawkins Arms is a friendly and unspolt coaching Inn tucked away in the pretty village of Zelah, on the old A30.

The Hawkins Arms, formerly know as the 'Half Moon' changed it's name back in 1856 in celebration of the joining in marriage of the local Trewithen family and the famous seafaring Hawkins family.

Today the Hawkins Arms is a homely pub with log burning fires, many nooks and crannies.

Hawkins Arms BarThe Cob and Granite walls, open wooden beams, and many orniments which line the walls and cellings provide considerable charm as well as many stories relating to the pub and it's local community.
